Scholarships
Purpose
The Friends of Choral Music scholarships provide financial assistance to high school students intent on pursuing an education in vocal arts and/or choral music at a 2 or 4 year institution.
Description
Two scholarships of $250 each will be awarded to high school Seniors based on committee review and merit of application.
Eligibility
1. High School Senior
2. Resident of Orange County or Long Beach, CA
3. Minimum 3.0 GPA
4. Interest in choral/vocal arts in educational goals
Completed applications must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2012
Procedure
Application should include the following:
- 300 word essay on your career goals and how the vocal arts have inspired you.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation: At least one (1) from an instructor of choral music or vocal arts.
- Copy of school transcripts
Scholarship recipients to be notified and awarded by June 1 of each year.
